Very Kind Optometrist

I think I have an eye disease. The middle of my eye is really blurry and I can barely see out of it, and then the rest of the areas on my eyes are normal. That can’t be right, can it? I’ve never experienced anything like it before and so I’m guessing I’m dying of a rare eye disease. Who could I ask to diagnose my eye issue? Maybe I need an optometrist. Cheltenham has some highly-rated clinics that could help me. I’ll report back with more once I’ve got a diagnosis.

Well, I was wrong. I’m thankfully not dying of an incurable eye disease, but I do have to get a monocle. You know, those glasses that are just one lens? I have to wear one of those for the rest of my life. This is a far better outcome than what I was expecting. I tend to be a bit of a hypochondriac which means I always think I’m really sick or dying if even the slightest thing goes wrong.

I think the optometrist could tell that I was really concerned and that’s why she tried to calm me down straight away. The way she told me that nothing was wrong was so reassuring. I wish my doctors were that patient with me. I think they’re a bit sick of how concerned I get when I get sick. But that’s the issue, what about the one time where I don’t take it seriously and it turns out to be something really concerning?

Luckily this time there was nothing to worry about. The highly-rated Bayside eye doctor was awesome at making me feel better and even helped me to choose the best-looking monocle for my face shape and skin tone. I’m not sure if that’s a part of her job description, but she seemed really happy to go that extra mile for me.

I think I’m going to look pretty cool with a monocle. All in all, this was a good result.
